This 3-hour virtual course targeted to Developers, DevOps, and SRE’s enables you to use Splunk Real User Monitoring (RUM) to analyze error spans, identify performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot your front-end user experience of your applications. Through discussions and hands-on activities, explore how to use RUM metrics, built in
dashboards, URL grouping, and advanced filtering and searching to assess the health of your front-end and quickly find root cause when problems arise. In this course your will also learn how to link Splunk RUM to Splunk Application Performance Monitoring (APM) to monitor your application from back-end to front-end with application instrumentation.

- Create custom charts and dashboards using RUM metrics
- Create detectors from RUM charts and dashboards
Topic 3 – Troubleshooting with RUM
- Apply filtering and searching
- Apply web vitals to troubleshoot use cases
- Apply RUM and APM linkage to troubleshoot a problem
Prerequisites
To be successful, students should have a solid understanding of the following:
